VINTAGE CHILD SUNSUIT ROMPER
Adorable vintage little girls cotton sunsuit romper designed with shoulder straps, cross over back, button waist, button decoration on the front, white piping trim and open shorts - this in all one piece.  Featuring a charming beach theme - print depicts stylized Mermaids, stars, etc. against a soft red ground.  Measurements, when
laid flat,
are as follows:  waist is 10-1/2" (so 21" around), short leg opening is 9" (so 18" around), and length is about 21-1/2" from the shoulder strap top to the shorts leg edge.
Condition is good - sunsuit has been worn with light overall softening to the red color - the shorts bottom edge needs to be turned under and restitched as the thread has pulled loose in several places (an easy fix), the button is missing at the waist side, and the straps appear to have been altered with a  2-1/2" grosgrain ribbon section - probably to add more length.
It is an iconic 1930s or 1940s children's sunsuit design - always planned on framing it for a beach theme display - just never got around to it - a charming little romper - fun addition to any collection!
