2. WHAT ARE CLEVIS PINS? The clevis pins come in different diameters and lengths and the application determines the size of pin to use. All of these pins have a larger diameter head on one end and a hole through the center of the pin near the opposite end that uses a cotter pin or spring clip of some sort to keep the pin from backing out from the holes that the pin is used in.
